Maori Language Week continued.
We were so fortunate this week to continue our Maori Language focus.
Our fabulous Whanau unit organised a rotation of activities for our whole
school to participate in. We had an awesome time learning Maori games; making
Kowhai whai (flowers); Making artwok with sponges shaped like koru patterns;
and making kites. We finished a fanatstic block of learning by eating yummy
Maori bread. Check out our photos.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO WHAEA SANDRA WHAEA ROIHARIO AND OUR AWESOME LEARNERS IN THE WHANAU UNIT FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK!!!!!
Special
Visitor – Ron Sperber ‘Waste Minimisation’
We had a special visitor this week from Auckland City Council. He
came to teach us about ‘Reduce, Re-use, Recycle’. We learnt a lot about how
much rubbish we produce and how important it is to recycle as much of our waste
as possible.
One months of Auckland's rubbish dumped on Eden Park.
WHAT A BUSY WEEK WE HAVE HAD !!!!!!
